4-H SHEEP | Monroe County Fair Monroe, Michigan

4-H SHEEP YEAR ONE | LAMBERT, LILLY, AND LUNA Our first year raising sheep for the county fair was such a learning experience and so much fun for the kids. I grew up raising sheep and showing sheep at the fair with my little sisters and brother but this was a first for Ron and the kids. I wish we had posted this earlier but we have had such a busy year moving to the farm, doing so many updates and home renovations, taking care of the animals, and just doing life...but I wanted to always remember our first year and I also wanted to share these sweet memories on our Michigan Pines channel in case you are interested in showing sheep or getting involved in your local 4-H program. We love being able to share these experiences with you and we would love to answer any questions you might have if you are looking into raising animals for your county fair as well and we would LOVE any tips you have for us too. So much to learn but it's fun to be able to do this together. I would encourage ANYONE who is thinking of getting their kids involved in the 4-H program to do it. What a wonderful program 4-H is and all of our kids have learned so much...they have overcome fears, they have had to be so brave and walk their sheep in front of a judge in a large arena full of people, they have learned how to be more responsible and walk their sheep daily and care for them, they have made so many wonderful new friends and we have too. Thank you for following along and growing with us. We can't wait to share all of the exciting things we have planned for our Christmas tree farm as we start another year.
