40th Meeting 58th Session of Human Rights Council UN Web TV General debate under agenda item 4 (Cont'd) Japan (Second right of reply), Mr. Shiota Takahiro 发言内容: Thank you, Madam Vice President. My delegation would like to exercise a second right of reply to the statement made by China and North Korea. My delegation will not repeat here what we already said about history, but we have to say that the claims and figures that they mentioned regarding Japan are groundless and based on factual errors. We believe that many nations understand that Japan has consistently followed the path of a peaceful nation since the end of World War II. Japan has made significant contributions to international peace, prosperity, and the promotion of universal values, such as human rights through development efforts, peacekeeping activities, and other initiatives. As a responsible member of the international community, Japan will continue to contribute to make positive contributions to international peace and security. Referring to comfort women as sexual slavery does not reflect the facts, and therefore this expression should not be used. Regarding illustrated water, the water being discharged does not contaminate water. As it is discharged after sufficient purification and dilution, it will have no impact on people and the environment. The Government of Japan has been repeatedly sharing information with the international community in a transparent manner. In addition, the Government of Japan has provided individual briefing sessions to countries and regions which have expressed particularly keen interest. As a result, a wide range of countries and regions have expressed their understanding and support for the efforts of Japan and the IAEA regarding the discharge of illustrated water into the sea. Japan will continue to share information based on scientific evidence in a highly transparent manner and in good faith. I thank you, Madam Vice President. 消息来源:40th Meeting - 58th Session of Human Rights Counci, https://webtv.un.org/en/asset/k1i/k1i....
