In this video, we fix one of the most common problems of this engine — deformation of the water pump housing. • The cooling pump housing is made of plastic and mounted directly to the engine block. Due to high operating temperatures, it eventually deforms, causing coolant leaks along the joints. In such cases, replacing the entire housing becomes mandatory, which is exactly the issue we encountered here. • The pump is located under the intake manifold and driven by a separate toothed belt connected to the balance shaft. The replacement process is relatively straightforward if you know the correct sequence of disassembly and assembly steps. • Along with the new water pump housing, it is essential to install a new toothed belt and a new connecting sleeve between the oil cooler and the pump housing.
