For anyone wondering what this video is for, it's actually for an award ceremony for the performing arts department at IHS. We decided to create a video projecting what our tech theatre class is all about. Our theatre was being renovated, so most of our work was done in an old classroom and outside our classroom. The spaces we used for performances were the school's Commons and Silvercreek HS's theatre. The first part of the video is one on one shots of students in the class that year who talk about what they feel towards the class. The second part is a compilation of videos I've shot during the school year and starts 3:43. Many people always questioned "why tech?" "what's so important about that class?" Well, it's a very important one. We do the lighting, sound, and the stagecraft/building of a set that goes on in a school production of plays, musicals, band performances, etc. The class is only one hour, but we do as much work as possible while creating bonds with one another like a team. The class can be taken all four years of high school. With each year that you take it, the more your responsibilities and experience grow. I've taken it all four years, and I can tell you that it's pretty much one hell of a ride the whole way through. It's one of the best experiences I've had in high school, and I'll carry on the knowledge of the skills I've learned in the future. Thanks for watching! Song: Our Story by Mako
