More than 40 others were injured in the devastating attack. An India Navy officer, who was married just seven days ago and was on his honeymoon to Pahalgam, was also killed in the attack. Lieutenant Vinay Narwal, 26, was posted in Kochi and had travelled to Kashmir after his marriage on April 16. The Indian Navy on Wednesday paid tributes to the slain officer. Prime Minister Narendra Modi held an urgent meeting with National Security Adviser Ajit Doval and External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar on Wednesday at the airport to discuss the situation following the terror attack in Pahalgam.
