In the 72-year history of the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance, the most prestigious car show in the world, there had never been a vehicle fully restored by students accepted onto the field. But in 2023, the McPherson College 1953 Mercedes-Benz 300 S Cabriolet was not only accepted but came away with a historic podium finish.
