How can AI systems evolve from powerful tools into trusted partners that enhance human agency rather than replace it? The next phase of artificial intelligence is not defined by ever-larger models, but by systems designed to understand human perspective, context, and intent. Drawing on the MIT Media Lab’s sAIpien Program, this session explores how perspective-aware AI and privacy-preserving Human–AI agents—known as AI Chronicles—are reshaping collaboration between people and machines. Moving beyond one-size-fits-all models and prompt engineering, speakers examine how “perspective engineering” enables AI systems to reason with humans, not just respond to them. The session highlights implications for work, education, healthcare, finance, and governance, and what it takes to ensure AI remains aligned with human values as its capabilities expand. Speakers: • Hossein Rahnama, Head of The sAIpien Program and Professor, MIT Media Lab, Toronto Metropolitan University • Amir Husain, Chairman, WorldQuant Foundry • Robert Mahari, Founder, Akiva AI
