Last December, more boots were on the ground than ever before. Volunteers responded after watching these videos, and Céline’s friends travelled across the world to take part. Together, it became the most comprehensive search effort since her disappearance, bringing fresh focus to the terrain itself. The results were significant. Céline’s phone was located, along with personal effects, including a large garbage bag believed to have been used as shelter, and a rare type of water sold at the restaurant where she worked. Through the timing, condition, and placement of these items, there is strong reason to believe Céline survived her first night on the hill. But one question remained: where did she go to next? With the western and southern sides already searched extensively, the remaining terrain becomes the focus. From the assumed shelter site, the old water race is difficult to identify even now, and would have been especially hard to follow in low light. After a cold night, it’s reasonable to assume her priority would have been movement and maintaining body heat, heading toward the river. This line of thinking brings new weight to something discovered during the original 2023 search. Downstream of the Arthur River, near the junction of Seven Mile Creek, veteran bushman Ted Mead came across a set of fresh human footprints in country where no one should have been. The prints measured a size 7. At the time, the link couldn’t be confirmed. Now, with what we’ve uncovered on the hill, those footprints may no longer be a mystery. With this in mind, this trip follows the line Céline may have taken after leaving her phone behind, off the hill and into the river country. ------------- 📍 How to get involved: Email one or more GPX track logs from your walks to helpfindceline@gmail.com Once reviewed, your details can be passed on to the project manager who maintains the master search map. ---------------- Support for the ongoing search for Céline Cremer is being coordinated through the GoFundMe campaign Searches Céline Cremer 2026, organised by Celines close friend Gabriel Remy.
