Autistic children need special care during current COVID 19 crisis. Management of dental problem would be limited to emergency dental care which include 1. Presence of facial or neck swelling 2. Traumatic dental or facial injuries 3. Uncontrolled bleeding from gum or mouth 4. Severe dental pain. All other procedures like Cavity filled-up, Root canal therapy, Gum treatment should be deferred to minimize risk to patients, staff and the public. Our responsibilities to safeguard children and young people continue during the pandemic. Parents should be aware that children may not be exposed to increased risks of abuse or neglect during lock-down. Proper care in the house may make this lock-down enjoyable for them.
