"Israeli journalists complain that there's a lot of intervention, a lot of pressure from the government to make them follow the policies or do what the government wants to do, rather than what the media, the free media, has to do," he added. Souag's comments come after Israel's decision to close the Jerusalem bureau of Qatar's flagship satellite network. On Monday, Al-Jazeera denounced the move calling it "undemocratic," and has threatened to take legal action.
