Eastern Townships Citizen group "Expect more from Hydro Qc" urgently lobbies for the environment

Peter Smale and Roxane Parthenais are spokes people for a growing citizen group opposed to Hydro' s projected mass scale renovations on our regions' Infra-structures, planned on cutting through the Brome-Missisquoi territory to the US border, threatening our landscapes, wildlife and way of life. It has been noted that the proposed renovations do not justify the development of this large corridor (think AUT10), which comes at great costs to our environment, (wildlife and human) leaving a continuous scar of 42m large with 42m high metal pillars across our bucolic landscapes. The informed and well organized citizens ask that the plans be reviewed and propose that the suggested corridor follow the current one, which need restoration form being neglected and less maintained (at 60 years of age). Stating that these infrastructures meet the need of our regions' electric power and it's growing popularity, while accounting for the slight trend in declining population.
