At the centrer of Courchevel Moriond 1650 sector, the Ariondaz gondola lift has been getting a lot of attention in the past ten years. La télécabine de l’Ariondaz la toute première TC6 places des 3 Vallées datait de 1974. Le projet de remplacement par une TC8 nouvelle génération a longuement été étudié, et particulièrement son futur tracé, afin de répondre à l’ensemble des enjeux du domaine skiable, dont d’importants défis environnementaux liés notamment à la préservation d’espèces animales endémiques. Avec la construction de la nouvelle télécabine 8 places, non seulement la S3V rationalise son parc de remontées mécaniques en supprimant 3 téléskis et 28 pylônes au total, mais participe également à redynamiser le secteur avec des aménagements qui offrent plus de débit, plus de confort, et réduisant ainsi l’attente au départ. S’inscrivant dans une démarche éco-responsable, la télécabine de l’Ariondaz bénéficie de la première motorisation Direct Drive du domaine des 3 Vallées, qui repose sur un système d’entrainement direct de la poulie motrice située dans la gare amont. Cette solution POMA, déployée dans le monde entier, présente trois avantages majeurs : une forte baisse de la consommation d’énergie, pas de consommation d’huile et enfin, une forte réduction des nuisances sonores. Implantée au sommet de Courchevel 1650 et à proximité d’un établissement de restauration, la discrétion sonore est une qualité appréciable. En outre, pour accompagner la nouvelle offre de glisse en nocturne, la ligne est entièrement éclairée. Et telle une guirlande lumineuse dans le ciel de Courchevel 1650, chaque cabine l’est également.
