During the pandemic in Kathmandu Nepal amidst a city of rubble rocked by an earthquake, the government shut down all transportation and flights in and out of the country, we made it out on the very last flight, on the last seats on the last day, by rushing everywhere from embassies to clinics to get paperwork. And at night among the neon lights and smog it felt like a post apocalyptic scene, the smells, the vibe, the ancient temples juxtaposed with new dilapidated buildings.
