The whiskey business has gone from strength to strength in recent years, with record growth, record sales and record demand, so it’s no surprise that there might be a reduction in demand at some point. That doesn’t mean the whiskey business is going to collapse, but there might be some changes coming… If you’ve seen any headlines about the whiskey business lately, chances are you’ve seen notices about whiskey distilleries pausing production, and you might be wondering, why are bourbon distilleries pausing production? Well, wonder no more, as today I’m going to explain why distilleries are pausing production, what this might mean for smaller whiskey producers, and what it might mean for the future. One thing I won’t be touching on is the potential of whiskey tariffs or bourbon tariffs as none have been implemented as of the time of filming.
