This was the last gold medal I needed to have the 10 required to unlock the Whetstone Sheath accessory in Qinghe. I had spent a few evenings on this boss between climbing to Mythic in Pvp, the 9 Mortal Ways Event, and farming for the new season. I hate this boss, nothing redeemable in my eyes as far as the Abyss Challenge goes. His floating makes hits hit you from behind when they should whiff, he has 3 interchangeable red heavy attacks in the 1st phase, and has hyper armor on 2 of his combos that stops him from being crowd controlled or interrupted. All that is nothing compared to his second phase, the shadow puppets mode is whack, I didn't know he was susceptible to deflects, and it was only his mini puppets that require dodging. I was perfect dodging him at first (before I unlocked his Abyss mode). Even still, I'm happy to be done with him. I used Bellstrike Splendor, the recommended loadout for this trial, and focused on using the charged heavy skill on the Nameless Spear to get the bulk of my damage, Nameless Sword just wasn't cutting it for me since it's restricted to its tier 1 inner way.
