Final observation: First, EC01 is much brighter and has more throw than the sp33 v2. Given the fact that sp33 v2 is just 2500 lumens, we could imagine how the performance of the SP33 v3 is going to be. Will it overwhelm the EC01? Second, the beam of the SP33v2 has a very smooth transition from the hotspot to the spill. It also has soft edges, that means the light beam fades evenly up to the end of the whole beam, thus giving the user a wider area of illumination an visibility. EC01 is much easier to carry because of its 21700 sized body. However Sp33s 26650 body gives it more ability to dispense heat all throughout the body which made it better on heat handling. Both are good Night walk lights, the SP33 can run the turbo longer than the EC01, but that does not matter too much for some as they can just double click for turbo again when they feel like the beam has stepped down. In summary, the sp33v2 will have longer runtimes compared to the ec01. Sp33v2 also has better heat handling capability. On the other hand, EC01 is much brighter.
