One of the first duplicators made by Standard Duplicator in Everett, MASS. Late 30's early 40's. It's like the duplicators of today but up side down. What's on the top, rollers, drum, output of copy is now on the bottom and you don't see how it works. I took this all apart and cleaned and polished everything. Painted the sand finish case with a dimple paint and lubricated and adjusted the machine. I have done this in the past for a living. This duplicator is complete with automatic feed tray and copy receiving tray. I'm thinking of selling it on EBAY. They have a couple listed but very expensive or very rusted and non working. It takes a while to dismantle everything and keep it in order. The only thing I replaced on this was a new wick. The spirit fluid duplicator is in excellent shape not and makes a great copy. I've made hundreds and hundreds of copies on this machine. It very, very well built. I would say overbuilt like the Empire State Bldg. I called Standard Duplicator and they were quite impressed. If you want to make a newsletter or Fanzine the old school way with a Thermofax and a duplicator just let me know. It's RETRO and it wont be long before no one remembers the smell of the purple copies in school. Very economical to operate. No electric, about 300 to 500 copies from a long rum master. And you can print 5 colors at once with different color carbon paper. I have a few sheets of all the colors they use to sell.New old stock and unused. They came with one of my HECTOGRAPHS that I still use. Video coming some on that. The older generation will remember those gelatin trays that made less than 100 copies for pennies. I still have several packages of Heyer original Hecto jelly ready to use. If I can answer any questions just let me know. My spouse did the filming of this demonstration. Email - Keller1954@Gmail.com
