Probably destroyed in 1375 by English and French mercenaries. Continuing to the top of Hasenmatt, the highest mountain in the canton of Solothurn. Walking on top of Stallflue and Wandflue to the ruins of the castle Grenchen. This castle was built 1150 by the family of Grenchen. Before that, a wooden fortification was stationed here since about the year 1000. The castle was inhabited up to the early 14th century. It was used as a quarry from 1583. 1930 it was rediscovered.
