Summer Series 2024: Kimble Battle/ Heil FEL

Here we have a Battle/ Heil front loader picking up recycling on a Monday afternoon in the City of Brunswick. A couple things about this video... number 1 is that the city owns the carts. Number 2 is that you will notice this is a diesel, which is a rarity for Kimble. I was surprised at first by the sound, I could honestly not tell much of a difference between the sound of the diesel Battle vs the CNG. Kimble has been buying a lot of both Autocar and Battle, and I have to say the styling of the Battle cab has grown on me since they started getting them. I might just be crazy, but there's something about it that gives me just the slightest resemblance to the old original Mack LE? Maybe it has to do with the styling of the grill? It almost looks like some sort of condensed version or something... One thing about the body I do NOT care for is the front is solid. Even thought the fan would block most of it, I don't like not being able to see the position of the blade at all. I actually found out they are running these out of their Valley City shop, which sounds like is going to be all diesel at least until they would get the infrastructure for CNG down the road.
