In dit fragment interviewt televisiemaker Rob Klaasman de Nederlandse danser Ed Kortlandt, een van de dansers van Tanztheater Wuppertal o.l.v. de Duitse choreografe Pina Bausch. Tijdens Holland Festival 1982 gaat “Walzer” van Bausch in wereldpremière in het Koninklijk Theater Carré. In 1982 staan er op het festival nog vier andere van Bausch’ voorstellingen geprogrammeerd. Centraal in haar werk staat een wisselwerking tussen dans, beweging, spraak en sets. Ze laat hiermee een vernieuwende vorm van dans zien. In this excerpt, presenter Rob Klaasman interviews the Dutch dancer Ed Kortlandt, one of the dancers of Tanztheater Wuppertal led by German choreographer Pina Bausch. During the 1982 Holland Festival, ‘Walzer’ by Bausch had its world premiere in the Royal Theatre Carré. In 1982 the festival programmed four more of Bausch’s performances. Her work revolves around an interaction between dance, movement, speech and sets, in which she shows a wholly new form of dance. ----- Naar aanleiding van het 70-jarig jubileum (2017) en het 75-jarig jubileum van Holland Festival (2022) hebben het festival en de VPRO onder de naam ‘Holland Festival Parels’ een duurzaam online platform ingericht. Het publiek vindt hier korte televisiefragmenten uit en over producties, die het Holland Festival de afgelopen zeven en een half decennia in Nederland presenteerde. Deze televisiefragmenten van diverse publieke omroepen zoals de NTR en VPRO zijn vaak eenmalig op televisie te zien geweest. Ze zijn nu als hommage en als online archief beschikbaar gemaakt. On the occasion of the 70th anniversary (2017) and the 75th anniversary of Holland Festival (2022), the festival and the VPRO have set up a sustainable online platform under the name 'Holland Festival Gems’. Here, the audience will find short television excerpts from and about productions presented by the Holland Festival in the Netherlands over the past seven and a half decades. These television fragments from various public broadcasters such as NTR and VPRO have often been shown once on television.
