I Want to Pray For You | Pastor Brad Knight

Thank you for giving me the opportunity to pray for you, and I say opportunity because it is an opportunity to show you the power of God. When I get to pray for you, you're extending me an opportunity to get God to move on your behalf. Hebrews 11 says without faith it's impossible to please God, so that implies that with faith you please God. But there has to be an element of faith in the things that you do in order to please God. So faith and pleasure go hand in hand, and so Psalms 135:6 said that God does whatever he pleases in the earth. It makes sense, then, it stands to reason that if you want God to act in the earth and if the Bible says that He does that which pleases Him and if faith pleases Him, when you act according to faith it moves God towards His pleasure. God cares about you. God cares about the outcome of your family. God cares about the outcome of your purpose in life. When we hear the voice of God and we align ourselves with his will, and when I see that your prayer request is a righteous one and I come into agreement with it, then the Lord will show up because we are appealing to Him, we are appealing to His pleasure in faith and he does that which please him, and I've seen it over and over and over and this is why Story Life is going to be a place of prayer and why I'm so thankful that you're willing to submit your prayer requests to me, because God shows there's nothing else we can do. Prayer when done humbly, when done with the right attitude and the right heart, is the most powerful thing that any of us as believers have. You go in the throne room of God Himself, the Creator of the universe, and have his attention. That's amazing and for you to invite me to that in your life, for you to allow me to participate in that, for us to pray for one another even if we don't see each other face-to-face, is an amazing opportunity because God will act on your behalf and God will enhance acting on my behalf, and we're going to come together and we're going to see God continue to expand that Kingdom and expand that territory and expand those who He acts on behalf of, would expand those who He acts on behalf of, so thank you for giving me the opportunity. I will pray. I will not just not look at this, and I pray over the prayer requests that you send me. I come into agreement and I take it before the Lord, so thank you.
