This is unseen footage recorded this weeks, which shows the Starlings, Blue/Coal/Longtail & Great Tits, Gold & Green Finches, Robins & Greater Spotted Woodpeckers all feeding together in harmony. When they first started feeding here, the smaller birds would vacate the area when the woodpeckers showed uo but time seems to have taught them to trut them, as there has been no troubke at all between them and they all feed together nicely now. The only possible vying you might see on occasion is between the starlings, trying to establish a pecking order but there are so many places to eat that it never comes to much before they settle back down to eating. I hope you enjoy watching the birds, I will upload more footage over the coming days, showing more than one woodpecker feeding at a time, as we quite often get male and females feeding at the same time. Happy Birdwatching All! Due to the birds starting to feed later in the morning whilst it is cold, the livestreams will go live around 7.30am. Thank you for your patience whilst we wait for our feathered friends to start their day. Please consider leaving a little food out for the birds in your area, if you can. The numbers of small birds in the UK are reducing and it would be nice if we could help them to make it through the winter. With the added bonus of them being lovely to watch! The birds are generally active throughout the day (particularly between 8am and 3.30pm) EDIT: Did you see the aurora borealis on 3/12/25, following on from the X Class solar flare on 1st December? It was picked up by a camera in my garden, which I have uploaded here ( • Aurora Borealis: Northern Lights As Seen D... , for those that would like to see it. Info on how to sign up for notifications of when/where there should be an aurora visible from the UK can be found in the video’s description): • Aurora Borealis: Northern Lights As Seen D... I hope that everyone gets to enjoy nature everyday, as it's good for health and wellbeing, even if you can't get out into it, watching it can still help, as research suggests that viewing nature scenes (or being out in nature) can have up to 13 beneficial effects on our health and wellbeing, such as helping us to relax, reducing depression, quicker healing, bolstering the immune system, lowering stress levels and increasing lifespan (https://www.happybrainscience.com/blo...) So I hope this livestream helps to bring a sense of peace and wellbeing to you and all that watch it. Please like and subscribe if you would like me to keep streaming and thank you for watching!
