Zayn Talks Smoking Weed & Why Engagement with Perrie Ended In New Book

Yes, yes it is. To promote his new memoir, Zayn, the singer opened up to London’s Evening Standard Magazine to talk all things Gigi Hadid, and weed. Regarding his model girlfriend, Zayn admitted he wooed her with his cooking and the two actually LIVE together right now. Zayn explained QUOTE, “We haven’t officially swapped keys or anything yet. We live together wherever we are.” The two first met at a Victoria’s Secret party, and shortly after had their first date at The Bowery Hotel in NYC. Zayn gushed, “She’s a very intelligent woman. She knows how to carry herself. She’s quite classy and that. She’s not, like, arrogant in any way. She’s confident.” On top of that, Zayn let it slip that Gigi has an amazing singing voice of her OWN, “She’s got a nice voice. I like her voice.” When they’re not singing together, the couple spend a lot of time in the kitchen. Zayn has introduced Gigi to his favorite British dishes like steak and potato pie and Yorkshire pudding. As for drinks- Gigi prefers spicy tequila drinks and Zayn is a whiskey guy. When discussing his solo career, Zayn was open about how he gets his creative juices flowing, “Weed is also a part of my life for certain things. I find it helps me be creative. Some people say it kills your ambition, some people say it destroys your personality. Personally I haven’t had any of them experiences yet.” An experience he HAS had, is breaking off an engagement. In his book Zayn, he explains how his relationship with Little Mix’s Perrie Edwards fizzled out, “It was March 2015, I had been in a bad place for awhile and I didn’t see myself getting out of it unless I made a change. My relationship with my fiancee, Perrie, was breaking down. To make matters worse there were so many crazy stories flying around in the newspapers about us, and it felt like such an invasion of privacy, it made me just want to disappear for a while."
