How we do juice reviews | Hardware Testing Methodology We test on both a dripper and a tank, to see how the juice works on each. For the dripper, unless otherwise stated in the review, we will be using the Council of Vapor Royal Hunter RDA, fitted with a pair of Kanthal claptons, 26+32awg, 5 wraps round 2.5mm which come out between 0.3 and 0.4 ohms. Wicked with standard Japanese Muji and running at about 55w. For the tank we use the iJust S, with either the SS 0.18 or the Kanthal 0.3 ohm coils, generally powered by the standard iJust S battery. Why do we use this setup when there are better performing setups to be had? We are trying to get a middle of the road experience across both devices. Sort of an average experience for a dripper and a tank. The Royal Hunter is easy to build on and has pretty good flavour, while the Kanthal and Muji give middle of the road flavour for that average experience. There are tanks that kick better flavour and clouds than the iJust S but again this is a good middle ground also the coils do not have a long bedding in period. While flavour is subjective and each person’s experience will vary, our aim using these test setups and testing on both a tank and a dripper, is to achieve an average experience of each juice.
