My own GOG Affiliate link for Star Trek: Elite Force II (exclusively) on GOG store: https://adtr.co/3lEuXl Every purchase helps out the channel! Full game longplay of Star Trek: Elite Force II, sequel to Voyager - Elite Force (already on my channel), released in 2003 exclusively for the PC (EF 1 released on ps2 too, a shitty port I might add). Nowadays, it's exclusively available for purchase on GOG, nowhere else, so this is the version I played. Played at full 4K60 resolution, highest possible details, higher FOV option enabled via commands. Recorded at 4K60, H.265 NVENC codec via OBS. As with Elite Force I, you don't even have to know Star Trek Universe at all to have fun and understand subtleties, I didn't know it before I played them. :D Link to my Elite Force I longplay - • Star Trek: Voyager - Elite Force | 2000 FP... Link to my Retro/Boomer shooter playlist - • Retro/Classic/Boomer Shooters ============================================================================== My opinion: This is the sequel to what I thought was one of the better shooters I've ever seen, Elite Force I, which was very good all around. Now, this sequel does not live up to that fame, is arguably a worse game, when it comes to gameplay, fun, perhaps the story, it just doesn't kick the same as the original back in 2000. It is massively improved when it comes to graphics. It's the manually improved Quake3 engine with some advanced SDK stuff, as opposed to EF1's base Q3 engine. It looks very good for a 2003 game, runs well on modern computers, technically I've got no complains, solid job. If I gave EF1 a solid 8.5/10, I would be inclined to give EF2 a solid 7.5/10, still a very capable and fun shooter. ============================================================================= Unlike the first game, Elite Force II is largely set on board the USS Enterprise-E stationed in the Alpha Quadrant. The game's storyline is a semi-sequel to the movie Star Trek: Nemesis, and the end of Star Trek: Voyager series. Many of the members from the original Hazard Team reappear. However, only a few of the primary cast of Star Trek: The Next Generation did voice acting for the game, among them Patrick Stewart as Jean-Luc Picard and Dwight Schultz as Reginald Barclay. Tim Russ returned to do voice work as Tuvok. Several actors from Star Trek series provided additional voice acting: Jeffrey Combs (Weyoun from Star Trek: Deep Space Nine and Commander Shran from Star Trek: Enterprise) as one of the main villains; Tony Todd (Kurn from The Next Generation) as Korban; J. G. Hertzler (Martok from Deep Space Nine, plus roles in Voyager and Enterprise) as Lurok; and Vaughn Armstrong (Admiral Forrest in Enterprise) who contributed several character voices. ====================================================================================================== #longplay #retro #retrogaming #ermac #fps #shooter #startrek #starwars #eliteforce #voyager #startrekgaming #startrekvoyager #boomershooter #firstperson #quake2 #quake3 #idtech #eliteforce #gog #voyager #quake #doom
