Apostle Grace Lubega Galatians 1:10 (NKJV): “For do I now persuade men, or God? Or do I seek to please men? For if I still pleased men, I would not be a servant of Christ.” — God cannot make you immune to criticism when He has not first made you immune to praises. A man who is ruled by applause will always be wounded by criticism, and a man who is broken by criticism is often first intoxicated by praise. Many believers desire boldness, consistency, and stability in their walk, yet they still measure themselves by the voices of men. As long as a man’s confidence is built on human approval, his peace will remain fragile. Scripture reveals that Jesus Himself was praised by multitudes and later condemned by the same voices. Yet He remained unmoved, because His identity was settled in the Father’s affirmation. When God becomes your reference point, men lose the power to exalt you or to break you. The believer who lives to please God walks in liberty, for he is no longer a prisoner of opinions. Beloved, maturity in Christ is when praise does not lift you and criticism does not sink you because your life is anchored in one voice, the voice of God. Hallelujah! You deliver me from the desire to please men. My identity is rooted in You. I walk in obedience to You, not for applause. This truth shapes my walk and choices. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
