I found myself caught in one of the fiercest snowstorms I have ever experienced. The temperature plummeted to below -21°C, and the biting wind hurled snowflakes into my face, drastically reducing visibility. The storm was relentless, but I had no choice but to keep moving forward. I managed to build a natural shelter under a massive tree that had been uprooted by the strong winds, positioning it so that it faced away from the blizzard. The air around me was unbearably cold, and everything was covered in thick ice. My fingers were numb, and the cold was overwhelming. But I had to survive. I needed to warm myself as quickly as possible, so the first task was to start a fire. Once some of the numbness in my hands began to ease, I quickly started sealing the shelter’s surroundings with branches and leaves to prevent the snow and wind from entering.
