The digital archive of the Cork International Film Festival is an open access repository of materials from one of the oldest film festivals in the world. Film festivals are markers of the cultural heritage of a place, so this digital resource represents an opportunity to explore the social fabric and cultural soul of Cork city and county, Ireland, and Europe. This project represents a collaboration between students and staff within the Department of Digital Humanities and Department of Film and Screen Media at University College Cork, and the Cork International Film Festival.
