Intex Ultra XTR Frame Pool Set Up Timelapse

Last April, with the prospect of a cancelled summer vacation due to Covid-19, we decided to ensure not all was lost and invest our vacation fund in a pool for the ultimate staycation. We chose an Intex Ultra XTR Frame Pool, with a diameter of 488cm (16ft) and 122cm high (48inches). This size would ensure we’d actually be able to use it as a swimming pool rather than just a wading pool. The set up was quite easy and only took us about 2 and a half hours. Filling the pool took more 24 hours as the water pressure from our garden hose is quite low. We took our first dip in early May, with a pool water temperature of 17°C (62F). Despite it being so cold, we still spent more than an hour in the pool that day. Having the pool really made our summer fantastic and we can’t wait to set it up again. This year we plan on making a few upgrades and improvements to the set up and running of the pool as we made a few mistakes last year (such as not stretching the liner at the bottom well enough) so stay tuned for those videos in a few months time.
