This video has been long overdue on my part, mostly because finding a way to play the unused levels with minimal knowledge on how to activate cheat codes on PS2 left me stumped. But eventually I was "shown" how to get it all working on PCSX2, so here we are! Firstly, you may notice that the video is in 4:3. This is because for whatever reason, widescreen mode isn't available when the level selector code is activated, same goes for subtitles. This is likely because this is technically a debug version of the game. Also most of the levels do not play their own music. I added them in the editing process to make the video a little bit more engaging lol. The only levels that play their own music are the "Reset Test" levels when you fight the enemies. Also note that these unused levels are only accessible on the European/PAL version of the game. The level selector code does work on the US/NTSC version, but you're only able to load the normal levels. I'm not sure who discovered this code so I am unable to credit anyone specially. Anyway, on to the test levels themselves. Test 1 test_01: The levels starts off with some activation pads to the right, showing all the different dialogue the player receives as they progress in the game. Some of these I recall in game, some I do not. There is also a pad in the far corner, which teleports you to the opposite end of the stage. I didn't bother to demonstrate it. The rest of the levels have various props and enemies that are activated by green pads and deactivated by red pads, but not all of them function. test_02: This appears to be a duplicate of test_01? Either way as you can see, loading the level results in you falling into the infinite black void. So it's kind of useless :P Test 2 demo_01: This is similar to test_01 in that it has more props and enemies scattered around, but also contains slopes, elevated points and a lava pit. Reset Test reset_01: This as the title suggests, tests resets with enemies and respawn points, in a rather glitchy area. The reset is triggered by standing on the red pads. reset_02, 03, and 04 spawn you with the next enemy after the previous, which is why I only load 01. Enemies - Temple/Grove/Arena/Caves/Fortress An "easy" enough test of the enemies each level has to offer, once again activated and deactivated by green and red pads. The arena and fortress level have an assassin enemy test, but for whatever reason you can't shoot fire at them and constantly fall through the floor.
