Hotel Review: Ibis Düsseldorf Hauptbahnhof, Germany - August 2013

In August we went for a weekend in Bonn, Germany. We flew to Düsseldorf, and as it was a late flight we stayed overnight in the Ibis Hotel, which is quite literally situated in Düsseldorf's main railway station (hauptbahnhof). This review features views of room 503, views of the courtyard of the hotel, the station behind the hotel, Schindler's lift, restaurant, bar, reception and the hotel exterior. We paid 59 Euros for the room for one night, room only. It wasn't cheap, but it was comfortable and warm. There were some issues with noise, but nothing too unbearable. All of the staff were friendly and helpful. I would probably use this hotel again, although I would also be tempted to look for nearby budget alternatives.
