In this episode we complete a ford 9 inch rear end rebuild just for dirt track racing. We are using a good housing that had good bearings and a full 31 spline spool to start with. Our focus is on how to set pinion preload, how to set the ring gear preload, setting the correct backlash, and how to read and interpret the pattern to make sure the drive and coast wear is correct. I forgot to show placing the locking tabs back on the adjusters and this is CRITICAL so I will be adding a part two video linked to the end of this one.
