This Gulf of Arabia or Persian Gulf cruise on February 19th 2019 was a fabulous experience that you don't get cruising the Med, don't be put off by the negative thinking regarding the United Arab Emirates (Dubai) or Oman, it's all exaggerated through ignorance, if you want a beer of course you can get one. Visiting Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Bahrain, and Oman and a couple of smaller ports in the UAE but their names slip my mind we had a great time, really recommend this cruise if you get the chance for something different, we finished off the cruise with a couple of extra nights stay in Dubai so that was four in all, two on ship and two in a hotel, absolutely loved Dubai the old town and the new city and got to fly both ways on the Airbus A380, what an experience that is. We visit the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque in Abu Dhabi, it must be the greatest free show on earth, full respect, everywhere is clean and perfectly safe, I'm sure we'll return in the future.
