Hello Everyone! Welcome to this new walking tour video, this time we are here at New Liloan Public Market, or Panphil B. Frasco Public Market located in Jubay, Liloan, Cebu, Philippines. Actually, this market is not new since it was constructed in 2009 and was inaugurated in 2010. The market was built through the efforts of Mayor Duke Frasco though originally, this was his late father's (Panphil Frasco) idea to build a new public market. The town allotted P7 million while former president Joseph Estrada, through Senate President Juan Ponce Enrile, extended P23 million to build the market However, today as I've observed, there are few vendors in the market, most of the stalls are closed and there are only a few customers. One stallholder said that since Liloan has many small markets in the nearby areas, customers now have a lot of options and it really affects their sales, As I walked around the area, carenderias are at the back of the market while fruits are displayed just in front.
