Established in 1929, and the home course of Billy Graham, the Black Mountain Golf Course offers numerous stunning views of the surrounding mountains and challenging elevation changes. Severely damaged during Hurricane Helene in late September 2024, the Donald Ross-designed front 9 holes remain closed with no estimated reopening date. Maintenance and repairs are still ongoing on the front 9 while the back 9 is open for play. Black Mountain Golf Course is home to the 9th longest hole in the world (as of 2023), the par 6 17th, coming in at 747 yards from the back tees.
