THE WOLF HUNTERZ Reactions THE WOLF HUNTERZ React To The halo effect - the last of our kind    • Last Of Our Kind   Last Of Our Kind · The Halo Effect · Mikael Stanne · Jesper Strömblad · Peter Iwers · Niclas Engelin · Daniel Svensson · Mikael Stanne · Jesper Strömblad · Peter Iwers · Niclas Engelin · Daniel Svensson Days Of The Lost greetings! the halo effect is a Swedish metal band made up of members from two bands: dark tranquility and in flames. though a small history lesson, if i may. back in the day the two bands put out their first albums and then switched singers. the halo effect has members who founded in flames reunited (in fact every member at some point has been in in flames), which includes the original singer, playing together again for the first time since 1994. some fans have even begun using a nickname for the band: "dark flames". whether it'll stick or not time will tell, but it is a good descriptor. i recently saw the halo effect on their first ever u.s. tour. they only played 5 shows here in the states. i saw them on their 4th show in Massachusetts. there was, my best guess, maybe somewhere between 100-150 people there, but we made it feel like thousands. to say we brought it would be an understatement. most of the show the band could not stop smiling. clearly glad they decided to make the trip. the band also earned my respect by being a total class act. when they were done someone came up with a sharpie and some band merchandise. they signed it and then indicated to the crowd anyone who had anything similar they wanted signed to come right up. they signed autographs right there on stage. i didn't get one, but it was very cool to see. nothing but love for their fans. all of us who were there will never forget that. i know i won't.
