Ted Kinsman is a member and, long time friend of the BCA. He has been a regular presenter to our meetings and conferences. He is a professor of photographic sciences at the Rochester Institute of Technology in Rochester, New York. where he teaches technical imaging. He has contributed to numerous and very diverse articles, books and movies and in 2019, he was a recipient of the Louie Schmidt Award for Lifetime Achievement, the highest honor given by the BCA. His presentation covers how to build a relatively simple SPIM Machine: A Single Plane IIllumination Microscope, or more commonly a Selective Plane Imaging Microscope. This presentation is the second in BPA's new spotlights series of individual free programs offered 3 to 4 times per year.
