It also shows the seller you're serious and ready to go! Next, you'll want a reliable conveyancer or solicitor on your team. They'll handle the legal bits, making sure everything checks out with the property, so you're protected every step of the way. When you find that dream home, it's time to make your offer. Now, here's a quick tip: in New South Wales, your offer usually comes with a 5-day cooling-off period. That means once your offer is accepted, you've got five days to do your due diligence—think building inspections, pest inspections, and finalizing your finance. If you're feeling super confident, you might even consider making an unconditional offer. This means you're committed once it's accepted, but it can make your offer very appealing to the seller, especially in competitive markets. And let’s talk deposits.
