Various rough test shots taken on the Zoom-Nikkor 80-200 f/4.5 Nr. 116xxx, ca. 1971/2. Most feature the camera stopped down to f/5.6-f/11, though f/16 is used in some cases (f/22 and f/32 have intense diffusion). A few close-up shots do use f/4.5. This is apparently from before Nikon started coating this lens, so it has intense ghosts, flares, and strong aberrations. This lens is actually a lot of fun to use because the zoom and focus are a single sliding ring, making it easy and fast to frame and focus. The downside is that the sliding ring likes to slide on its own, at least in the current state of this particular lens, so its easy for focus or framing to fall off unintentionally. Captured using a Sony A7C w/ IBIS enabled (manually dialed in to match lens for each shot), custom picture profile (no editing/grading in post), 4K/24 XAVC at 100 Mbps, downsampled to 40 Mbps h.264 as per Youtube recommendations. This definitely isn't a golden sample of this lens as the focal plane is skewed (see clock shot near the end), but still some remarkably acceptable footage can be obtained from a lens that commonly can be had for $80 or less.
