BangInclude demonstrates how stacking synths can thicken up a flat sounding bass patch. Michael starts by creating an Instrument Rack loaded with an instance of Ableton Live's Operator and mapping the LFO Rate and Amount to Macros 1 and 2. Then he duplicates the Operator chain and slightly modifies the timbre of the 2nd Operator chain to make the two chains distinct from each other. Lastly, he processes the sound further by adding various Audio Effects to glue the two chains together. He uses Saturator to add a little more grit to the overall sound, a Filter Delay for creating a 'slapback' echo which thickens the sound even more, and then a Compressor to create a subtle, yet very cool pumping effect.
