The Honda TRX450R was introduced to the sport ATV world with a bang by winning the Baja 1000 a year before it's public debut in 2004, and quickly started competing at the top of it's class in other disciplines of racing, such as motocross and cross country. In 2006, the TRX450R received an engine overhaul with new features including a more aggressive cam, a larger cylinder bore, titanium valves, and increasing the compression from 10.5:1 to 12:1, which turned out 41 horsepower compared to 33 ponies found in the first generation. Sadly, Honda stopped production of the 450ER in 2014 leaving only Yamaha to fill the void in the high-performance sport ATV market with it's YFZ450R. But luckily for us, TRX450's sold well and can still be easily picked up second hand from the local classifieds.
