We venture to three bbq restaurants in Kansas City Missouri and Kansas to try out what many people regard as the best in town. Here are the three barbecue spots in Kansas City we visited: 1. Q39 BBQ Restaurant - The story of Q39 began long before we opened their doors in 2014. Their roots are in championship BBQ, and the legacy of late founder Chef Rob Magee lives on with their delicious twist on traditional Kansas City style barbecue. 2. Joe's Bar-B-Que - Joe's Kansas City Bar-B-Que began as a small gas station barbecue joint in 1996 in Kansas City, Kansas, founded by Jeff and Joy Stehney. Their slow-cooked meats and signature sauces quickly gained a loyal following. Today, Joe's is considered a barbecue institution, known for its award-winning dishes like the Z-Man sandwich and frequently ranked among the best barbecue spots in the U.S. 3. Slap's BBQ - Slaps is quickly making its mark on the Kansas City BBQ seen.
