This video is part of a graduate course on elliptic curves that I taught at UConn in Spring 2021. The course is an introduction to the theory of elliptic curves. Note: before I state Theorem 6.1, I make a mistake... the map sends Q to [deg(phi)](P) (instead of P to [deg(phi)](P) which would be an isogeny) and that's not clearly an isogeny! The point of the proof is to construct an isogeny phi-hat and then verify it works like the map we defined above.
