HUCKLEBERRY HOUND CARTOON EVOLUTION #36 I take a look at the history and evolution of Huckleberry Hound, the lethargic, yet charming southern dog, created by William Hanna and Joe Barbera in 1958. Originally debuting in his own series, he became an immediate sensation – though, soon before long, his spotlight was stolen by supporting character, Yogi Bear. While Yogi would go on to live a long life in TV series and movies, Huck was forced into his shadow – taking a secondary role for most of his existence.   In 2023, Huckleberry Hound celebrates 65 years, and to help him I will trace his entire evolution from 1958 to now.
