Namaste, my YouTube family 🙏 Welcome to Part 5 of my 5000+ km road trip series — truly the most memorable and adventurous journey I’ve ever taken with my Tata Harrier 🚗💨 In this vlog, we continue our incredible South India journey as we travel from Munnar (Kerala) to Kanyakumari (Tamil Nadu) — the southernmost tip of mainland India. 🌄 From Munnar to Tamil Nadu After exploring Eravikulam National Park in Munnar, we began our drive towards Kanyakumari in the evening. The total distance was approximately 260 km. Since it was a long drive, we stayed overnight at a hotel along the highway in Tamil Nadu. Early the next morning, we resumed our journey and finally reached Kanyakumari, excited to explore this iconic destination. 🛕 Devi Kanyakumari Temple Our first stop was the sacred Kanyakumari Amman Temple. This holy temple is dedicated to Goddess Parvati in her virgin form (Devi Kanyakumari). It is believed that devotees who pray here with true devotion have their wishes fulfilled. ⚠️ Important Note: • Male devotees are required to enter the temple without shirts (traditional custom). • Please take care of your footwear outside the temple premises — unfortunately, my slippers were stolen, so be cautious. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 🚤 Vivekananda Rock Memorial Next, we visited the iconic Vivekananda Rock Memorial, one of Kanyakumari's most famous landmarks. To reach the memorial, you must take a ferry ride, which costs approximately ₹75 per person. This historic site marks the place where Swami Vivekananda meditated in 1892 before his journey to Chicago for the Parliament of Religions. The energy and serenity of this place are truly special. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 🌊 Kanyakumari Beach & Triveni Sangam After returning from the memorial, we spent quality time at Kanyakumari Beach and Triveni Sangam, the meeting point of three major water bodies — the Arabian Sea, the Bay of Bengal, and the Indian Ocean. Watching the sunset here was an unforgettable experience. The powerful ocean waves, the golden sky, and the peaceful atmosphere made it magical. I even enjoyed swimming in the sea — the waves were strong but incredibly fun! In the evening, we explored the local market for some shopping before beginning our return journey. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 🛣️ The Journey Back Home From Kanyakumari, we started our long drive back to Surat, covering nearly 1900 km. We halted overnight at a highway hotel again and resumed early the next morning, finally reaching home by night. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 🚗 Complete Road Trip Summary This entire journey covered over 5100 km in 14 days. Our route included: • Surat • Harishchandragad (Maharashtra) • Goa • Adiyogi (Karnataka) • Ooty (Tamil Nadu) • Kochi (Kerala) • Alleppey (Kerala) • Munnar (Kerala) • And finally, Kanyakumari This has been one of the most fulfilling road trips of my life — filled with adventure, spirituality, scenic drives, and unforgettable memories. 🎥 If you haven’t watched the previous parts of this series, I’ve linked all 5 videos below so you can experience the entire journey from start to finish.
