We will take a transverse incision on the most prominent part of the myoma and then we scoop out the myoma outside including the capsule and then we are going to suture the bit of the Myoma where the myoma has been removed. The advantage of myomectomy is that we are going to retain your uterus and we are just going to remove your fibroid. So other advantages of laparoscopic myomectomy is that the hospital stay will be very minimal as well the blood loss will be very minimal you will be ambulated very early and you will be even started on feeds very early. What are the cautions to be taken after the myomectomy it would be very similar to that of open surgery that is open myomectomy so usually the doctor will ask you not to lift heavy weights till 6 weeks post surgery . Then you can resume to your activity. But in laparoscopic myomectomy we have an advantage that immediately after the surgery usually sometimes if we operate in the morning we are going to discharge you by evening also and we ask you to resume to your your activity the next day except whatever will have a pressure on your abdomen and what are the things to be followed like postoperatively is you have to hydrate yourself properly, you have to maintain the hygiene so that whatever the wounds are there they don't get infected and you have to come and see the doctor.
