Stunning Starburst using the Dutch Pour Technique, Neons and Opaques. Acrylic Pouring. Fluid Art.

In August 2019 I created a piece using the dutch pour technique (varnished result shown in video). I poured the puddles in a circle, around a bowl. For this video I wanted to create something similar but, this time I would use different colours. Also, I was hoping for a more starburst vibe with vibrant colours. Recently, the more traditional acrylic pouring techniques have not been going to plan but, this one definitely did and I am so glad it worked out as I love it. This one will definitely be getting a coat of resin, it will look amazing with resin. I will find it hard to let go of this one so I might keep it for a while. Paints used: Bases - Mix of Amsterdam specialities in graphite and standard in oxide black. Colours - DecoArt neons in sizzling pink, thermal green, electric blue and scorching yellow. Pebeo iridescent in precious gold. DecoArt metallics in berry. Amsterdam standard in phthalo green and primary yellow. Windsor and Newton in windsor blue. I also added a little bloom pouring medium cell activator in white and black. Generally, the paints are 2:1 (pouring medium to paint) and if needed I will thin further with more water to get the right consistency. Again, some paints require less pouring medium than others. My ratio also varies depending on the paint brand and even the colour, but this is the most uniform figures I have.
