Video Information ----------------------------- Photoshoot: 00:26 Videoshoot: 01:52 Ride Information --------------------------- Name: Move It Owner: Danny Van Herck Country: Belgium Model: Move It 32 Manufacturer: KMG Contructed: 1996 (prototype) Fair: Septemberfoor 2019; Foire D'Octobre 2019 Location: Hasselt; Luik, Belgium Ride History -------------------- Move It is the first ride out of the Move It series to be ever built by KMG. This prototype premiered in Best, The Netherlands on the 5th of July, 1996 as 'Move It' under the ownership of Tonny Kroon, once also owner of the KMG ride 'Mission Space'. The Move It had a capacity of 32 seaters, hence it is often referred to as the 'Move It 32'. At first, the ride was ordered by the german showman Schmidt, scheduled for delivery in 1995. Due to a delay in the delivery however, Schmidt switched suppliers and ended up buying the new Soriani & Moser Top Star which had a capacity of 40 seaters. This Top Star has ever since been travelling under the name 'Transformer'. In production year of the Move It, there were also smaller versions of the Move It produced with a capacity of 18 seaters, known as the Move It 18 (or sometimes Move It 2). The year after, another type of the Move It series was produced, this time with a capacity of 24 seaters, known as the Move It 24. While the Move It 18 and Move It 24 have been produced multiple times, up to this day there still is only one Move It 32 in existence. After three years, the ride was sold to the 'De Poorter' family which also kept it for only three years. Thereafter in 2003, it was sold to the United Kingdom to travel under the ownership of James Cox, who did this for a total of six years. It stayed in storage for the first part of 2010 under the owner ship of Harry Ayres, to be then sold to back to the European mainland. Later in 2010, the French showman Laurier bought the Move It to travel with it for the following six years, starting in Metz. Over the years however, the condition of the ride had been slowly decreasing, and by the end of 2016 it wasn't in a very good shape anymore. A lot of work had to be put into the Move It to bring it back in the shape it had in it's glory days back in the nineties. In 2017, the Belgian showman Danny Van Herck bought the Move It and premiered it at the carnival fair in Halle. Since the ride needed so much maintenance however, they had some problems with it which prevent them from travelling in the late 2017, late 2018 and early 2019. The family Van Herck put a lot of work into it completely bring the Move It back to it's original condition, including a complete overhaul by KMG, new motors and a complete LED light package. We can only be thankful that this magnificent ride is now treated with such good care by it's owner.
