Things go off kilter, and before you know it, you've lost the ambition to do what you once loved doing. ☢Chemical Reaction☢ with the Styrofoam: Styrofoam (polystyrene) can react with certain chemicals. While most water-based acrylics and Floetrol are compatible with many surfaces, it is possible a component in the specific styrofoam cup reacted with the blue pigment, causing it to change hue.
