When you submit a recording, please submit along with it: 1) What criticism have you received recently in regards to this tune (or in regards to your playing in general)? Tuning was pretty good, but there was some lapses possibly due to pipe maintenance, there was some trigger D-gn finger on the previous tune. Knew the idiom and played well. 2) How specifically have you worked to address this criticism in order to improve? I have worked on rhythm, staying on the beat and opening up embellishments with Chase and Calum. and tuning and working on opening embellishments and softening cut notes to fit the feel and style with Cameron D, Alasdair, Callum, Cameron M, and Bruce . I am following the new tempo guidelines for prescribed tempos for Strathspeys. I practiced it intently on the practice chanter and while warming up the pipes. 3) What do YOU think about this recording? I felt like the tempo was good, the chanter was tuned and good with the drones. I felt that it was mostly on the beat. I was waiting for the beat. I think that I maintained pressure better and the Hi-A was good. I think that it was musical and in Strathspey Idiom.
